AfrikQueen International set to host the 3rd edition of Roses For The Elderly

Wow! Peeps, hold your breath because there is a good news in the offing!  Guess what? AfrikQueen International is ready to make a 100 elderly folks smile. Yes, the organizer of AfrikQueen Beauty Pageant is set to host the 3rd edition of Roses for the Elderly on the 23rd of April 2017 in Lagos. Roses for the Elderly is a charity project designed to show love and render support to  older folks in our society especially those who are incapacitated  due to physical or mental frailty, isolation or poverty in our society.

Kenn Ighodalo, the President of AfrikQueen International, is happy that D- Nest Family Foundation is collaborating with AfrikQueen International  to make this year’s edition bigger and better as they look forward  to supporting 100 elderly people in our society.
The last two (2) editions were successfully hosted at the Holy Family Home for the Elderly, Regina Mundi Catholic Church, Mushin, Lagos and have enjoyed endorsements and support from Rt. Honorable Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, traditional rulers, religious leaders, corporate individuals and the media.
In her words the founder of D- Nest Family Foundation, Mrs Vivienne Ogboru said rendering this daring and selfless service to the elderly is a clarion call to all responsible human being because everyone will get old someday and express delight in partnering with AfrikQueen International to make this noble cause a big success.
Finally Mr. Kenn Ighodalo concluded that the highlight of the event will be colloquium lectures by keynote speakers theme “Taking Responsibility” and will be rounded up with Humanitarian awards to deserving corporate organizations, individuals and government officials who have supported the cause of humanity in our society.

He however calls for support to make this a worthy cause by celebrating the elderly in our society and thus creating awareness of their plight and also give them a sense of belonging by way of showing them love and a warm embrace from the society.
