She is popularly known as Asirka in Kannywood (Hausa Film Industry) due to a striking role she played in one of the Hausa movies she stirred in. But her real name is Fatima Danladi Isa. She is the Face of Fashion Africa, Tourism 2018. This black beauty loves African culture with a passion and she portrays it in her style.  She started acting immediately after bagging a diploma in Social Work from Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, Borno State.  
 And having lost her parents at a tender age, she was raised by her granny who was also an epitome of beauty and a great lover of African cultures. That was where her love for African mode of dressing and lifestyle originated. She talks about fashion, her itinerary as the Face of Fashion Africa Tourism 2018 and her acting career.

2018 Face Of Fashion Africa Queen Christina Uyai Edem gets ready to PROJECT HOPE to the hopeless


PROJECT HOPE gets ready to show love

Face Of Fashion Africa 2018, Queen Christina Uyai Edem can’t stand the suffering of the hopeless and the down-trodden in our society. Hence she is now ready to put smiles on the faces of children, youths, teenagers and even women who have been looking for shoulders to lean on. “I guess this is the time to restore hope to the very hopeless in our society. The PROJECT HOPE is kicking off with a visit to three orphanage homes in Abuja on the 29th, 30th and 31st of this month (August).

The Say No To Drug Abuse which took place in Abuja just recently came to a conclusion  with a lecture and workshop. Christina Edem, the 2018 Face Of Fashion Africa aside from participating in the 20 kilometer walk also attended the lecture and workshop that has to do with same issue. One very beauty queen who is not happy with the way some beauty queens just fold their arms doing nothing while their tenure tick away is Queen Christina Edem, the Miss 2018 Face Of Fashion Africa. “I wonder why a beauty queen shouldn’t do anything to reach out to humanity using her platform. There is a whole lot to be done in our society for crying out loud. This is unfair! And they usually promise to do heaven on earth immediately they are crowned. You hear most of them promising to touch lives and reaching out to the down trodden. But it is funny when their tenure starts, they throw their promises away,” she fumed.

No one takes care of dark skin/complexion more than Sophie Keyen Wapi, the modest but quietly accomplished CEO of SophieKeys. Incredibly creative with colours and focused in the art of eyebrows and fixing of false lashes, tying of headgear (Gele) to mention but a few, Sophie has steadily built her brand and driven it to such an impressive pedestal that could ordinarily have taken some other brands several years to achieve. Though she is a graduate of Mass Communication from University of Jos, but her sizzling passion for make-up and  childhood dream  for colours  made her took a plunge into make-up artistry.
