He is one interesting personality you would love to meet. With him, there is no dull moment and guess what? He loves his job with a passion and he is always prepared to give ultimate satisfaction to his clients. Little wonder celebrities prefer to have him work on them. He is a seasoned make-up artist who knows his onions. “I have done make-up for the former Big Brother housemates 2018 namely Cee-Cee, Alex and Anto,” he enthused.

His Background?

He was born on the 6^th of October. Did you ask what year? Let’s leave that for him as his little secret. Bearing in mind that any guy he tells his age just at a snap of his finger can spill all secret not giving a hoot whose ox is gored

 He has two siblings (his two brothers) and he happens to be the second one. Welcome to the beautiful world of Kenechukwu Emma Obi fondly known as Porsche. In this interview with adanneamos.blogspot.com the dude talks about his lifestyle and his undying passion for his job. He also reveals why most women prefer male make-up artists to their female counterparts.

‘I’m an extrovert with a goal’

You are a Make-Up Artist,  a Model Instructor, Masseur and Creative Director. How do you joggle these three daunting professions without allowing any lack adequate attention?

I’m able to joggle all these three professions together because it comes at different times and if peradventure it clashes with each other, I will always find a way to make that money. (laughs loudly).

A bit on your educational background? What did you study?

I graduated from Adamawa State University with a B.sc in Public Administration. I delved into what I’m doing because of passion and this passion does some put money in my wallet (he grins).

Why is it that your friends call you Porsche?

I was at first given the name  by a bosom friend of mine because she wanted me to always remain classy and apparently Porsche is another way of calling someone classy. That was how the name started and somehow it stalk like a leech. All my friends started calling me Porsche even till date. Somehow I started liking the name and so I welcomed it (shrugs).

Today’s women prefer male make-up artists and that includes male hair dressers/stylists. Why is it so?

I concur with you. Women tend to prefer male make-up artists to their female counterparts no doubt! This is because they believe they stand out and are more dedicated in it.  I think they also enjoy  guys’ touch because it’s more gentle (laughs out very loudly).

What makes you tick? Why do you think a client would come back to you a second time? In other words what actually stands you out?

Beauty is a kind of social lifestyle and being an extrovert with a goal, I have to chanel  towards that direction. A client would always return for more services because of my ‘hospitable attitude’  and my sense of humour in my services as an addendum to spice up the beauty aspect in relation to my clients and their complacency in reference which I know makes them come back for more.

What determines your choice of make-up on each and every client?

You have to understand each of your clients’ face in respect to the kind of face foundation, powder, pattern of application and so on. (He nods).

Can you name some grade A personalities you have beautified?

I have done make-up for the Big Brother housemates 2018 namely Cee-Cee, Alex and Anto.

What makes you happy about being a make-up artist?

What makes me happy about being a make-up artist is the fact that it has been a childhood passion. Reason is that when I was a child, I used to sketch on papers, then moved on to sketch on canvases before transcending to human faces. Remember that make-up itself is an art. Then  being a Model Instructing, this is like unwinding for me. I usually watch E news TV with the entire fashion lifestyle and runways etc.  Then of course as a Masseur, I learnt the procedure online because of the health benefits we tend to ignore in this part of the world.

Some years back, females were mostly the major ones in charge when it comes to make-up but guys are coming up seriously, why?

Women usually say that whatever any man does, that a woman can do better and vice visa. So, in this case, whatever women do, guys can do also better. In other words the known work of a female can be best done by a male counterpart (giggles).

Which international make-up artist are you looking up to?

I’m hoping to be like Mario, (Kim Kardashian’s personal make-up artist) if not better than him which I know will happen soon with dedication and consistency.
