I love to listen to music, surf the internet and draw. In the year 2014, I participated in the AFRIK Queen International pageant in which I won. The Afrik Queen pageant  is a contest that promotes African culture and heritage amongst our young women. I could remember unlike other pageants, in the Afrik Queen pageant the contestants were given names of African women that made history in the cause of devoting their time and efforts on effecting positive changes in their societies. Also in Afrik Queen camp, we did vocational training to empower us.

Yes, winning the crown Miss Curvy Nigeria Photogenic is just a stepping stone to my dream. The most interesting thing about this pageant was meeting plus-size models that do not shy away in shell but are proud of what they do and motivate each other. (Smiles) I’m a determined person in whatever I do. I love my job as a model so I put myself out there, learn the ropes, and most of all I love the camera.

One very hobby the super screen diva, Ebere Agu, says she cannot resist is photography. And she isn’t mincing words about this!  Little wonder she started having good cameras at a very tender age. Those were not toy cameras. They were real cameras  her dad gave her as birthday gifts. Perhaps, he noticed early his daughter’s love for photography.
“I started using good cameras when I was young, courtesy my dad and that was when I started having undying passion for photography. I have always knocked off boredom by striking poses before cameras. That is one of my hobbies, watching camera lights flashing at me,” she giggled.

This is the concluding part of Amanda, Gilbert and Stella’s story started penultimate Sunday. When Amanda and Gilbert got married, for five years there was no child. Though she was conceiving, but she was having series of miscarriage so much that it started giving Gilbert some concerns. While Amanda was in the heat of her problem was when fate brought Stella her way. Stella her childhood friend who avoided her for years just because her WASC result was extremely poor.

That Saturday afternoon, Gilbert left a written note for his wife  Amanda that he was going to a salon for a haircut. He didn’t want to disturb her because she had cried for hours and needed rest. She in fact cried herself to sleep because Gilbert’s mother had called on the phone asking her what had been preventing her from giving her son a child. Hence, she got so worried that she cried heavily. When she eventually woke up, she read the note her husband had dropped for her and smiled. “The line that made me smile was where he wrote that he still loved me despite our pregnancy issues.”

Queen Sandra Anthony stuns the fashion world; steps out in African prints styles

'If you are a proud African, dress it!'

It’s really interesting that so many fashionistas, divas, beauty queens, celebrities just name it have actually embraced the African prints vogue which sure is waxing stronger.
Days are gone when African prints are left for mothers and grannies. These days, fashion pacesetters have embraced such African prints as Daviva and Excellence which hardly lose its colours no matter how many times you wash them.
Guess another interesting part of it all? It is the fact that you can actually casually combine the western concept with African prints and come out looking your best. Or better still combine two different African prints together provided the bold colours blend and you are good to go.

Check out Queen Sandra Anthony’s concepts on this page. Why not take a cue from her and stand out?
