Can you relieve how you started your career in comedy?

I started very young, very early. I actually started in 1992 when I stumbled into  Charlie Boy.  But I started doing MC jobs before I delved into comedy. That was just it.

What was your experience before a large crowd?

My first experience before a very large crowd was on Girls Night Out. Oh it was a fantastic show. It was the first time Nigerians were seeing a female stand up comedianne. It was the first Girls Night Out Show where girls did everything and I did my stuff that night. But prior to that time, I did a show on Valentine’s Day. It was boat cruise show, so I was the MC on the boat. So, when the Girls Night Out Show came up, I was called and I was told I was going to do something similar to what I did on the boat cruise show. It was like I had practised before. And that made it easier.

You have an identical  twin sister, how come both of you joined the acting world at the same time?
I must say destiny, and Sir Lancelot Oduwa Imansuen was instrumental to it. He needed suitable casts for Eucharia Anunobi's daughters in a movie titled Last Burial.  During one of their rehearsals, we were coincidentally at the Hotel Presidential Enugu as well for a modelling shoot, and boom, he got his casts; because, he sighted us and sent for the both of us, tried us out and the rest is now history. That's how both of us evolved to what and where we are today.

‘I scurried into my room and saw my girl friend and her guy having sex -Habibat Oluwashola Jinad, actress

Naughtiest thing I ever did-Habibat Oluwashola Jinad, actress

This very naughtiest thing I did got registered in my brain. You know the human brain is like a computer. There are  things you see at a glance and  it would be registered fiam in your memory(giggled).
So, listen to my story which to me is the naughtiest thing I ever did. It happened one day when a good friend  of mine came to visit me with her boyfriend. They always feel at home in my house. Invariably, my apartment  is like a safe haven to them. So, a day came when they visited. And I didn’t know they were busy doing it!
Guess what happened? I didn’t know they were already  having sex right there  in my room and I walked in not knocking, not internationally though (laughed).
I scurried in to pick something and I wasn't expecting to see what I saw. Maybe  I wasn’t expecting them to be that ‘busy’. So, when I opened my door and saw the two adults ‘sweating it out’, I felt guilty that I didn’t knock before entering.

‘I have trained over 70 girls in fashion-designing

If you are a woman and you use your talent or career to empower other women or girl-child, you are definitely adhering to the maxim that says when you train a woman, she would train the world. How else can you give back to the society if you cannot say with conviction that this is the person you have empowered!
