Love is in the air; it's just 48 hours to go. Arent you ready?-Actress Ebere Agu

‘This is the week of love, how prepared are you?’
This is the month of love and of course the week that love is about to  sizzle without any apology. Do you know why? Because it’s just 48 hours to Valentine’s Day. Did you say Oh My God? Yeah, divas are gathering momentum for it if you must know. Little wonder when delectable Ebere Agu, an actress who had a chat with me this morning, came wearing sweet red outfit. Trust Ebere, she can’t be seen shabbily dressed. That’s the very unique thing about this young pretty lady. When asked why she chose a red dress today, her answer was straight to the point. “This is the week of love. It’s just 48 hours to Valentine’s Day, so red should be the ideal colour. How prepared are you?” she quipped.
She is right, if you ask me. Look around you, you would see that the boutiques around you are all displaying red dresses and red fashion accessories. After all, red is the colour of love.
Ebere and I got talking about her weekly itinerary over some bottles of drinks. She started by saying that “ my life as an actress doesn’t really give me time to map out plans because one can be called for shooting any day, any time and when you decide to map out your plan for the week,  it either clashes due to work/location jobs. So, here are often the way I map out my weekly plan,” she enthused.

Life as a beauty queen has taught me that nothing lasts forever- Joy Ekpoke, Miss Tourism Nigeria, 2014

Joy Arhwere Ekpoke, from  Urhobo, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta state is  a model, fashion designer and an ex-beauty queen. She was the Miss Tourism Nigeria, 2014. In this interview with ADAEZE AMOS she talked about lessons life has taught her as an ex-beauty queen. “Life as a beauty queen has taught me that nothing lasts forever, so make use of your opportunities very wisely. Not everyone has got a second chance,” she enthused.

You were a beauty queen, what was the name of the platform.
I was Miss Tourism Nigeria, 2014
What did you enjoy most when you were a beauty queen?
The joy I felt whenever I had a warm welcoming or reception from people each time I visit places. When I speak people would  give me all their attention.  I was greatly honoured and accepted by everyone

When I was 13, I remembered crying just for the fun of it-Joy Epoke, ex-beauty queen

‘That was the naughtiest thing I've ever done’
The naughtiest thing I ever done, oh my God is very funny. I still laugh over it each time I remember it. I start wondering why I was that naughty. Little wonder whenever I see a child crying, I’m not bothered because I already know that some children could cry just for the love of it. I was a typical example of that.
Guess how my own happened?  (giggled).
When I was thirteen years old, I once stood at the front of my grandparents gate and started crying. Yes, I cried as if someone had beaten me up but nothing happened to me. I just felt like crying that morning. I heard a voice within me that told me to try some crying sessions and see how it feels. And I honestly obeyed.

You released a single titled ‘Down’ a few years ago and you came up with another hit titled Star Gyal, what inspired these two different singles?
Basically I have always had God’s wisdom and understanding.  Then, talking about inspiration, I get inspired by things around me. I wrote ‘Down’ when I was listening to  radio and Dammy Kranes’ song titled  ‘Grateful’  came up and I wanted to do a tempo like that. So, I called my producer Reflexsoundz that I have got something to record and he told me to come over and we recorded ‘Down’ a few days later.
Then for Star Gyal, I had EmmyAce on my Black Berry Messenger  contact. So, I called him up, told him I would like to do a song with him, he  then gave me an appointment. I flew down to Lagos state to record ‘Star Gyal’, the first song I recorded in Gidi. The studio session was mad. I give kudos to Emmyace.

Careless lifestyle can affect your unborn baby- Medics

When you miss your flow, remember the first thing your doctor places you on is vitamins. Don’’t ignore or keep them under your pillow. Your fetus has need of them. Remember, your baby’’s neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy. So it’’s important you get essential nutrients such as folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor.
If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. Also, do the following at this period: Remember to stay active: Don’’t begin to lazy about because you are pregnant. Staying active is healthier for you. Regular exercises will help you control your weight, improve circulation, boost your mood, and help you sleep better. Plus, getting into an exercise habit now will help you set a good example for your child after it’’s born.
