The Biblical Queen Esther and Queen Christina Uyai Bassey
Edem, the Miss 2018 Face Of Fashion Africa are two of a kind, no doubt! Guess
why? The twosomes are indeed beauty queens with a difference. They are both
blessed with beautiful hearts.
Another striking
similarity is that they can surely go extra miles just to restore hope and put
smiles on the faces of people. When the biblical Queen Esther fasted for three
days for God’s presence on her mission to deliver her people, Queen
Christina Edem also did a three-day-visitation to orphanages to rekindle
hope and love. Did you say awesome? That
was indeed awesome. What striking similarities between the two queens you may
say.
When she was done with her three-day-activities where she
gave out gift items of all sorts, she was satisfied and thanked God for being
with her and her team. “I thank God it all ended in praise. The team of Project
Hope Initiative led by my humble self who of course is the founder, in
collaboration with great people from all walks of life including the amiable
Queen Fatima Danjuma Isa (Face of Fashion Africa, Tourism, 2018) who supported
in different ways to visit different orphanages in Abuja, I’m glad to say that
we jointly rekindled hope on the faces of orphans by visiting them and donating
some items to them,” she enthused.
It didn’t just end there. Queen Uyai’s Project Hope also
did a mini skill acquisition workshop on painting and Ankara craft. “The kids
were so excited to learn something new and thanked me (the queen ) and my team
immensely for the great affection they
received from us. Reason is that the Project Hope is not only about giving, it
is also about impacting into people’s lives,” she said.
The queen excitedly thanked all who supported her,
including those who went with her to those places and promised that the next
one would be better and would be
extended to other states in the country. “I promise that the next edition will
be greater. I believe that the Project Hope would spread across other states,”
she said, on a final note.
