I have always loved to be charitable-Queen Ure Okezie, musician
The delectable diva Queen Ure Okezie has not stopped doing good and showing love
to people especially the down trodden, children with special disabilities and the less priviledge in the
society.
According to the Porpori crooner, she derives joy and
fulfillment from that “because it is one of the things God said we should be doing. I have always loved to be charitable and being
charitable doesn’t mean having so much money first. But the little you
have, share it,” she enthused.
Guess what? She visits such places four times every year, under Porpori Platform which she heads, just to show love, give out gifts and prayers. She insists that “one should learn to do something good, begin to touch lives with the little you have,” she
said, as a matter of fact.
The first place she visited this year was Little Saints
Orphange, Akowonjo, Lagos, where she spent ample time with the kids. The
second was Bethsieda School of the Blind, Lagos.
And today, the 22nd
of August, 2015, she visited Hearts of Gold Hospice for children with disability, in Masha, Surulere, Lagos. She spent some quality
time with the children. Salome one of
the kids became so fond of her that she
couldn’t let her go. She mentioned her name repeatedly to the diva and pleaded
with her not to forget her.
She urged more women to join her in showing love to people “be
more forgiving and by so doing God would open your heavens wider,” she said, finally.
