Lisa Omorodion’s First Cut
impresses Nollywood bigwigs

Oritsefemi, Monalisa Chinda,
Mike Ezuronye and many other bigwigs in the Nollywood and music industries have
heaped praises on Lisa Omorodion’s production debut, First Cut.
The film which was recently premiered at the Silverbird Galleria,
Victoria Island, Lagos had galaxy of stars in attendance.
First Cut is a theatrical blend of morals, fashion, education,
information and professionalism in film-making and production. Directed by
Chico Ejiro; the movie features plots with collections of suspense, emotions,
neglect, sex, insecurity, parenting, abuse, trauma and other psychological
elements.
The movie narrates the story of
KC Morgan, the central character,
played by the producer herself, Lisa Omorodion; a character loved and respected
by many yet suppressed by trauma. Her own painful secret however keep on
threatening to shatter the new life she has created for herself; the central
character’s woes were multiplied the more by abuse and mockery from her loved
ones who continue to inflict pains on her psychologically.
Speaking during the black carpet, Lancelot Imasuen, a prolific and
seasoned Nollywood producer gave his candid opinion, he said “we are here to
support Lisa Omorodion, she is a good actress likewise an outstanding producer.
She has done quite a good job and I believe she will do even better in her
subsequent productions”
Another star personality at the event, Collete Nwadike, a
former Miss Tourism Nigeria, who glitters in her celestial white short outfit,
could not hide her admiration for a job well done by Lisa, she said “First
Cut is going to compete favorably with other existing movies in the industry”,
First Cut which is now available for viewing in all Silverbird
cinemas nationwide embodies Nollywood stars of exemplified competence, mastery,
class and real professionalism like Monalisa Chinda, Joseph Benjamin and Bobby
Obodo amongst others.
An excited fan, McDonald Bidemi after watching the movie said “I
couldn’t just accept the fact that this is Lisa’s first attempt at producing,
she quite has surprised me and many others here today”.
Orekoya Adesewa was another viewer at the Galleria and she was of
the opinion that the movie is timely, particularly to her. She said “I have
quite a number of take home lessons from First Cut; it is a very intriguing and
educating movie. She advocates support for the industry from both government
and cooperate bodies for good productions as Omorodion’s.
Ebube Nwagbo, Mike Izuronye, Charles Granvilles are some of the
guests who added color to the events on the black carpet.
