Miss
Green and White Nigeria which is
designed to promote peace and unity and stimulate awareness against violence
and apathy towards the oneness of Nigeria particularly among the youths and at
the same time celebrate young Nigerian women; presenting them as unique blend
of beauty, elegance, intelligence and excellence has always been a success
right from the maiden edition which took
place last year." In fact, it recorded an
85% success in attendance and commercial turn over as well as corporate brand
presence," said Juliet.
The
second edition scheduled to hold in October, 4th, 2015 is projected to record double
that success rate considering a multiplicity of elements that have be better
refined to make this year's show better than last year's.
Auditions
are scheduled to hold in six different states “from where we hope to screen 36
contestants who would represent 36 states of the federation. These 36
contestants would be admitted into a 'boot-camp' where they would further be
exposed to the rigors of keeping up as beauty queen and super model. They would also
be trained in skilled and hand crafts. During the pageant the contestants would
be judged using certain criteria which would include, intelligence,
outspokenness, physical attributes, elegance and etiquette. These criteria
would be employed by judges in timing down the 36 contestants in four different
rounds culminating to the last five contestants from which the final three would
emerge giving the second runner up, first runner up and the actual queen,” she
enthused.
Juliet
stressed that “this event is open to
corporate organizations, well meaning individuals, philanthropic organizations,
NGOs and members of the public for their financial support by way of
sponsorship and corporate/product endorsement. We are encouraged to look beyond
the entertainment such event offers but narrow our focus to the occupation it
would provide for these privileged few that would be opportune to be part of this event, which is geared to
exposing them to skill acquisition, personal and career development as well as
building self confidence in them. This would also serve as an avenue to actualize several dreams for a number of 'model-wanna-be' and the discovery of
some raw and natural yet untapped talents,” she said, finally.
